Postcards

"After a long trek from Co. Roscommon I met John on the shores of Lough Derg on an afternoon in May. We spent the evening out on the lake in John's boat talking about the fish we'd caught over the years AND the ones that got away!!! I was rewarded for my journey by catching a lovely trout late in the evening, so it's a trip I intending making again when the season opens."

"Thanks John for a wonderful few days on the lovely River Feale in Listowel, Co. Kerry. I'm a lifelong salmon angler, yet September 2010 was my first time to wet a line on this river. I had a very enjoyable first day, and though the fish were biting - no success. However, on the second day my luck was in and I caught a salmon. I'll be returning in the springtime when the season opens to fish again with John on the Feale and maybe the Laune in Killorglin."
